Read what our patients are saying about PhysioDC:
“I hesitated to write this review, if only because I don’t want it to become hard to get an appointment if I need to go back! Dan is a fabulous physical therapist. Most importantly, I significantly and noticeably improved, on a weekly basis, during my time with him. That improvement was basically the only thing making my enforced inactivity during an otherwise challenging time in my life remotely bearable. I also really really appreciated that he took the time to explain, in detail, what we were doing, why, and how it related to what my ultimate outcome might be. It was amazing: I would say, “I noticed that when I do X, Y results. Why is that?” Then he would explain the connection and, often, tell me something like, “Don’t do that (say, an arm-circle), just for one week; then you will be better,” and like magic, I was. Ok. not magic — just Dan’s awesomeness. No question was too silly or minute for him, and he took seriously my hopes to return to full athletic activity, deep amateur though I am. Also — and this has been invaluable — Dan has been great about answering questions and making suggestions via email since I’ve stopped seeing him. It is just incredibly helpful to have someone I can run by quick questions that don’t require a doctor. I cannot recommend PhysioDC strongly enough.” – J.M.
“I have been going to Physio DC twice a week for a month as I rehab a shoulder injury. Three things standout about this practice: 1) Dan and Chris are both terrific. They are professional and also fun to be around. As a result, PT is pleasant even though it’s hard work. 2) The place is well run. They see you when you arrive. They deal with insurance/billing in a simple and straight-forward manner. 3) They have a lot of experience and expertise. Chris is my physical therapist. As I mentioned, I have a shoulder injury and he knows a huge amount about them. Whenever I have a question he has a patient, thorough, and thoughtful answer. He is comfortable speaking about injuries in plain English or medically-specific terminology. I am not an expert on PT but he seems to be thorough. He is also fun. Given that we spend a lot of time together this is important too.” – Z.T.
“I have been working out with Phillip since January 2011 and have seen incredible results. He is friendly, pays attention to you, has been in the industry for years and knows his stuff, and is constantly learning new things. Having high blood pressure, Phillip made me realize the importance of monitoring my blood pressure while we work out. Working with my doctor, Phillip monitors my BP to ensure it’s in a normal range when we work out. That’s not to say I don’t have challenging workouts. I certainly do as evidenced by my 8% reduction in body fat since starting in January. We’ve set realistic goals for my ideal body fat, and I fully expect to reach my goal by my birthday in August. If you are looking for total body health where you go to your doctor regularly, eat right, and are motivated, and want to get physically fit, you are definitely ready for Phillip’s work out.” – R.U.
“I had never had to do Physical Therapy before – and my best friend who was seeing Dan and raving about him and the practice, told me to give them a call when I was in need. Chris was my PT and was (is) incredible. First of all, he is super fun and hilarious. Which is really important to me, especially considering the reason you are there in the first place is not very awesome. I am breezy by nature and feel most comfortable in that kind of atmosphere. But with that, he is also extremely professional, knowledgable and supportive. In turn, this made me enjoy the work I was doing, even in the most challenging of times – because I knew Chris was there with me on my team. The results were amazing and was proud of the progress I had made. How I had started to where I ended was such an incredible leap. And, as silly as it sounds, a small part of me was bummed when I no longer had to come in, I felt like I was saying bye to a good friend. I highly recommend this practice!” – G.H.
“I cannot recommend PhysioDC enough. I started seeing Dan after sustaining an injury to my wrist that required 2 surgeries and left me with a permanent impairment. Dan took me from learning to hold a fork to where I am now, where I can do almost everything I could do before the injury. Dan is incredible with his wrist/hand knowledge. He spent a lot of time doing stretches that helped increase my motion substantially. The exercises he gave me to do at home helped a lot as well. Dan also was great in helping keep my morale up during a time when I could have easily given up. As many others have said, the atmosphere is great. Dan is awesome and hilarious and somehow can turn going to PT into a fun experience, while remaining extremely professional. Chris is really nice and funny as well and like Giorgia H said, there was a strange feeling of sadness when I left, knowing I wouldn’t get to spend time in the practice each week. Another thing I appreciated is the fact that Dan is always here to answer questions, even after I stopped coming to the practice. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here!” – R.S.
“Knowledgeable, friendly, great place to get physical therapy. The guys are personable, encouraging, and really know their stuff. Highly recommended.” – J.I.
“This is a great new physical therapy practice; Dan and Chris are real pros. The small practice size means you get a lot of one-on-one time with your therapist and a personalized experience. I’ve worked with Dan on several occasions and find him to be incredibly knowledgeable yet very approachable. I wish them well with this new practice.” – L.B.
“My orthopedist referred me to physical therapy for bad foot tendinitis and a disc bulge in my lower back. I LOVED going to this clinic. I have been to PT before, and I felt that, unlike other practices where the time spent with the therapist was brief and rushed, the experience here was anything but….. While I am encouraged that I will not need to return, I will be back if the need for PT presents itself. + they actually take my insurance.” – T.G.
“One of my two fave physical therapists in the DC region. They take their time in hand therapy which sometimes works for best in some injuries and not for others. But they know what to do for each injury. They take their time and are excellent in patient and customer service. They are fairly new, but check them out.” – S.M.
“I went to PhysioDC twice weekly for two months to recover from knee surgery, address foot pain and improve balance. My PT, Chris, was kind, thorough, and knowledgeable about my conditions. He professionally challenged me to join him in working towards my own healing. Chris and Dan assured the atmosphere at PhysioDC was relaxed and the banter enjoyable. I had fun while there. I am new to the DC area and my experience at PhysioDC has given me a positive attitude about my health care here. I saw progress and am now walking with more strength, balance and ease. I highly recommend this excellent PT practice.” – G.M.
“Great physical therapists here. My knee much better after getting the electric styms and massage with a hard cylinder shaped pillow.” – V.S.
“I will be honest, I don’t like Physical Therapy. It hurts and it’s a hassle getting to it twice a week. Having said all that, and now on my second round of therapy for my wrist with Dan, I have to say I love this guy and i love his practice. The office is easy to get to and everyone there is pleasant and kind. Dan is an amazing professional who has both helped me enormously with my hand/wrist, and is a fun cool guy to talk to for two hours a week. I highly recommend this group!” – E.B.
