Josh Ripp grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where he attended Saint Louis University and obtained both a B.S. in Exercise Science as well as a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Through his past experiences and interests, Josh has primarily focused on patients with orthopedic and sports injuries. He has worked with many high school athletes (representing all sports) and collegiate athletes (football, soccer, baseball, softball, and hockey). Josh has treated patients from a broad variety of backgrounds and cultures in DC, Maryland, Virginia, Louisiana, and Missouri during his physical therapy career. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2016.
Josh has had the opportunity to train under the direction of a Certified Osteopractor, gaining a vast knowledge of manual therapy skills including joint mobilization and joint manipulation techniques. His treatment focuses on the mobilization of joints to facilitate correct and pain-free joint movement to aid the recovery of the ailment. Returning to full functional capability and preventing further pain are important aspects to Josh’s philosophy of rehabilitation, thus he places a large emphasis on educating patients regarding their natural anatomical structure and how they can better themselves on a day to day basis.
